    Description

    Universal Orlando Resort believes in the power of collaboration for success. Many Team Members work hybridly, spending at least three days weekly in the workplace. Some roles require full-time on-site presence, with limited remote options available in specific departments. Details will be discussed during the recruitment process.

    JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating and processing contracts and related documents for Universal Orlando projects, following Contracts Policies and Procedures and all applicable Universal Orlando Systems. Collaboration with Engineering, EHS, Risk Management, Sourcing, and Finance Departments is essential.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assisting with bidder pre-qualification and confidentiality agreements, drafting scopes of work, compiling and routing contract documents, and seeking internal and external approvals.
    • Supporting RFPs, preparing bid documents, attending bid meetings, assisting in bidder review and selection, negotiating Terms & Conditions, and managing contract execution.
    • Handling close out documentation, claims administration, preparing guidance documents, providing training, ensuring contractual compliance, and overseeing company policies adherence.
    • Participating in project meetings, preparing directives, handling contract change orders, issuing Contract Status Reports, maintaining electronic contract files, and monitoring compliance.
    • Verifying insurance coverage, Vendor qualifications, preparing Notices of Commencement and Notices to Proceed.
    • Actively engaging in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UO policies and procedures.
    • Performing other assigned duties.

    EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree is required.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in drafting, analyzing, amending, and negotiating contracts and scopes of work.
    • Strong preference for construction-related, technical, and/or entertainment contract experience.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
