    Compensation :

    Salary Range (Grade B / 839 ): $ 109,876 (Min) - $ 173,675 (Max)

    UTLO Compression Rate: $ 149,050

    Responsibilities :

    Directs a subdivision in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of a section of NYC Transit's 827 miles of rapid transit structural components and related equipment. Provides direction to personnel in the construction of facilities. Develops monthly and annual material requirement plans. Ensures timely acquisition and distribution of material. Develops strategic plans to enable division to better utilize limited material and workforce resources. Inspects multi-million-dollar Capital Construction projects. Directs emergency response by infrastructure personnel. Makes on-site evaluation of emergency situations and recommends appropriate level and type of response required. Develops action plan to minimize service disruptions. Oversees maintenance and repair operations to ensure personnel adherence to safety policies and procedures.

    Education and Experience :

    A Baccalaureate degree in Engineering and eight ( 8 ) years of related experience, and five ( 5 ) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity ; OR

    A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Desired Skills :

    • Extensive knowledge of inspection, maintenance and repair of various structural components, including rapid transit stations, tunnels, underriver tubes, and Transit buildings and facilities, high- and low-pressure plants, pumps, air conditioning plants and boilers, emergency ventilation systems and emergency exits.
    • Knowledge of project management.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply managerial skills.

    Selection Method :

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
