- Providing support to attorneys in estate planning matters, including trusts, guardianship and conservatorship, and estate administration.
- Generating estate planning and gift tax planning documents, drafting fiduciary income tax returns for trusts, gift tax returns, petitions to commence proceedings, closing documents, documents to commence probate proceedings, and more.
- Preparing and maintaining calendar systems to not miss important estate administration deadlines and court appearances.
- Corresponding with clients, grantors, beneficiaries, out-of-state attorneys, and court personnel.
- All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
- a Bachelor's Degree and Paralegal Certification from ABA approved program.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research engines.
- Experience using HotDocs and Microsoft Excel as well as tax software programs.
- Strong ability to work independently with little supervision.

Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a prominent and established Michigan law firm in its search for a Paralegal specializing in Estate and Succession Planning. This is a direct hire, hybrid role out of the firm's Troy offices.
Primary duties of the Estate and Succession Paralegal include but are not limited to:
The successful Estate and Succession Paralegal will have:
Salary Range: $70-75k, commensurate with experience; comprehensive benefits package.
Hybrid Schedule: The firm offers a flexible hybrid schedule where paralegals can generally set their own schedule after being fully onsite for training purposes for 3-6 months. While hybrid/remote models are available, the firm believes paralegals will do better if they come in regularly.
Billable Hours: 1,500 requirement each plan year
