    Business Development Lead (PE/RLA Required)

    Upstate NY (Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo)


    Exciting Opportunity: JK Executive Strategies collaborates with a global design services firm, seeking a dynamic Business Development Lead (Internally Community Development Group Leader) to join the team! The Community Development (CD) Group Leader will spearhead practice functions such as strategy, design excellence, business planning, market position, and innovation strategies. This role focuses on fostering success for clients, colleagues, and communities across three offices in upstate NY.


    The CD Group Leader reports to the CD Regional Business Leader (RBL) and plays a key role in guiding business development activities within the Business Center (BC). Responsibilities include supervising the CD team, driving design excellence, and enhancing market presence to build a high-performing business.


    Responsibilities:


    Client & Project Focus

    • Exceeding client expectations through strong account management and leading accounts.
    • Participating actively in pursuits for major opportunities.
    • Leading project pursuits.
    • Developing client relationships.
    • Contributing to major project content creation.
    • Supervising risk management for projects.


    Business Development & Collaboration

    • Devising winning strategies for project execution.
    • Driving CD Practice growth through business development strategies.
    • Expanding business reach through effective marketing.
    • Overseeing marketing and business development plans.
    • Enhancing business visibility and reputation.
    • Collaborating with leaders on pursuits.


    Practice

    • Inspiring the team for innovative design solutions.
    • Promoting project excellence.
    • Assigning project delivery responsibilities.
    • Fostering design excellence and innovation.
    • Ensuring compliance with management frameworks.
    • Providing digital practice support.


    People Leadership

    • Developing and retaining top talent.
    • Enhancing employee connectedness.
    • Supporting talent management lifecycle.


    Business and Financial Management

    • Assisting with budget planning and goal setting.
    • Developing business plans.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, landscape architecture or equivalent.
    • Minimum 12 years' relevant experience.
    • Licenses/Certifications: PE or LA.


    Salary Range: 155K - $185K
