Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing the following type repairs, including but not limited to: plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, painting, carpentry, minor electrical, dry wall, and other trades for the purpose of maintaining, repairing, or remodeling multifamily and commercial owned and operated buildings and facilities. This position possesses the opportunity to utilize and grow problem solving skills by providing hands-on maintenance activities for the commercial and multifamily properties and grounds.

Responsibilities

Perform property maintenance and repairs as required. Maintain appearance of properties and complete assigned work orders.

Conduct periodic safety inspections in a manner and frequency as directed by the Facilities and Property Manager. Completed required reports and submit to the Supervisor. These may include the following:

· Fire equipment including extinguishers, alarms & exit signage

· Buildings and grounds including plumbing, HVAC, roof, driveways, sidewalks

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the ability to perform all tasks in an organized, efficient and timely manner without direct supervision.

· High School Diploma and specialized training in the building trades or a related field

· 3 or more years of experience in general facilities maintenance experience

2-3 years Multifamily Maintenance experience

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Custodial and Maintenance safety standards and procedures

· Universal HVAC Certification

* CPO Certification
