    LHH
    is partnering with a client to find an experienced

    System Engineer

    to join their team in San Diego, CA.


    Responsibilities:
    Design, configure, and maintain both Windows and Linux-based systems.
    Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and provide tailored system solutions.
    Implement system upgrades, patches, and security measures to ensure optimal performance and security.
    Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide timely and effective solutions.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems with various applications and services.
    Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to address potential issues.
    Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Windows and Linux systems.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    Proven experience as a System Engineer, with expertise in both Windows and Linux environments.
    Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
    Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
    Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and system management.
    Solid knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and security best practices.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks.

    Nice to Have:
    Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).
    Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
    Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
