    Job Position: IT Systems Engineer

    Location: San Diego - Hybrid

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team and manage all aspects of our day-to-day operations. This role involves providing technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and offering expert guidance to enhance our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and performance.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Deploy, manage, and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
    • Maintain and administer computer networks and related environments, including system and application software, hardware, and configurations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network/system issues.
    • Monitor and test application performance, identify potential issues, and collaborate with support teams to implement solutions.
    • Ensure network, software, and physical security measures are maintained.
    • Configure and install various system and network devices, such as switches, servers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
    • Provide Tier II/III technical support to users.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proficiency with database technologies, particularly MS-SQL.
    • Experience in installing, configuring, and managing Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization/VMware.
    • Familiarity with Intune, Entrap Active Directory, DNS, SNMP, and DHCP management.
    • Experience in Group Policy (GPO) management and implementation.
    • Deployment and administration of Microsoft Server Operating Systems.
    • Configuration and management of various networking devices, firewalls, and Wi-Fi technologies.
    • Expertise in Virtual Private Networks (VPN) management and implementation.
    • Thorough understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) configurations.
    • Ability to assist with designing, configuring, and testing network devices and hardware.
    • Proficient in system and network maintenance, including upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
    • Experience in monitoring system and network performance to ensure reliability and availability.
    • Familiarity with configuration and change management policies.
    • Experience in vendor management.
    Job Requirements: Required

    Education and Experience:
    • Associate's degree or advanced degree in Information Technology or a related field.
    • Associate's degree with 5 years and IT certifications, or Bachelor's degree with 3 years, or Master's degree with 1 year of experience in the information technology industry.
    Preferred:
    • CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional (preferred)
    • CompTIA Network+ (preferred)
    • MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (preferred)
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate/Expert (preferred)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (preferred)
