    Have a direct impact on the future of Internet Security

    You'll create end-to-end architecture and high-level designs for new security products and features. They will define both technical and user aspects of the product. You'll work on different problem statements and dive deep to understand and address complex security pain points. This will play a role in translating requirements into bold architecture.

    As a Senior Product Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with product management to understand and finalize the requirements so they fit our technology and bring value to our customers
  • Defining the end-to-end architecture and the set of functionality required in new or existing products and systems to realize the requirements
  • Collaborating with other organizations to realize the non functional needs such as security, availability, and others
  • Presenting the designs for review
  • Guiding the engineering teams as they work on the detailed designs and implementation
  • Acquiring and sharing expertise in security products and industry while contributing to their future vision and technical roadmap

    To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 12 years of relevant software experience and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or its equivalent
  • Have experience working on large-scale, low-latency, web-based distributed systems
  • Have big picture and end-to-end vision when designing new features and thoroughly understand SDLC and web technologies
  • Have good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Handle ambiguity and imperfect information well.
  • Be passionate about building features that will be usable for our customers and help solve their problems
  • Be proactive in researching systems and issues, document solutions thoroughly, and have interest in learning new technologies

    Compensation

    Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $149,122 - $238,744/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
