Description
The Program Manager, Utilities is responsible for ensuring that our agency's facilities are served by utility systems that are adequately sized, safe, and reliable, and that utility service is procured at advantageous tariff structures.
This position works to liaise with Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO) to stay abreast of available incentive and rebate programs.
The Program Manager, Utilities ensures utility metering and sub-metering remains in place, and plans for long range utility requirements.This involves engineering review of design, construction, and alteration of distributed utilities including electrical, steam and condensate, water, natural gas, sanitary and storm sewers.
This also includes central plant, and fire alarm systems keeping in mind continuous operation, maintainability and safety. This role will work with new construction, major alterations to and the maintenance of utility infrastructure. This includes civil, electrical and mechanical engineering specialties. The Program Manager, Utilities collaborates with agency stakeholders, outside utility providers, and regulatory agencies.The scope of this position is district wide and interfaces with a wide variety of departments and facilities covering all segments of our agency's portfolio.
This is a Limited-Term position ending June 30th, 2026.Ensure a commitment to safety through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of job requirements that demonstrate safety is a fundamental value that guides all aspects of our work.
Perform related duties as required.Serve as a good steward by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers' experiences and of our product and service offerings.
