    Description


    LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst for our Morris County, NJ area client, to support division analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate finance functions.

    The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset, be driven by their results and have excellent Excel skills.


    Responsibilities:

    Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
    Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
    Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and trends.
    Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.

    Cost Analysis:
    Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
    Collaborate with operations teams to develop cost-saving initiatives and monitor their implementation.

    Financial Reporting:
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial results.

    Capital Budgeting and Investment Analysis:
    Evaluate capital investment opportunities, including new projects and equipment purchases.
    Perform financial feasibility studies and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
    Monitor the performance of capital investments and provide regular updates to management.

    Forecasting and Budgeting:
    Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather input and assumptions.
    Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide ongoing analysis to support decision-making.

    Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance the efficiency of financial reporting.
    Implement improvements to financial systems and tools to support better decision-making and data accuracy.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
    Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
    Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles is desirable.
    Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is a plus.
