GMC Sarasota, FL has an opening for a Project Architect to become part of a talented team of design professionals working on a variety of projects in the public and private sector markets. We are looking for a motivated and thoughtful individual who is seeking a team that will grow with them and collaborate together in the successful delivery of our services. This is an opportunity to build a career path with a group of talented and creative professionals dedicated to a design practice that works to deliver excellence in design, technological advancement, and client service.
This position requires 5 or more years of experience in commercial architecture. The candidate should be a licensed Florida architect or able to obtain Florida licensure within one year of hire. competent in all conventional aspects of architecture. Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Independently solves problems encountered. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans. Candidate may work on multiple small and/or moderate size or portions of major projects within a larger project team.
