    Join our team at Professional Search Group (PSG) as we seek a skilled Staff Accountant for our esteemed client in the furniture and home furnishings manufacturing industry, located in North Orange County. This is a great role for any Staff Accountants looking for a long term role with an established company with an opportunity to grow their technical accounting skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and review variance accounts to ensure accuracy.
    • Conduct general ledger account analyses and reconciliations for prepaid and suspense accounts.
    • Reconcile monthly bank statements to maintain financial accuracy.
    • Assist in the timely completion of recurring and accrual journal entries.
    • Execute monthly inventory processes and provide updated trend analysis.
    • Maintain and update loan statement records and associated documentation.
    • Manage property tax bills records efficiently.
    • Prepare and submit quarterly sales and use tax returns for all relevant entities.
    • Handle weekly check positive pay uploads for company.
    • Ensure timely approval of ACH positive pay, particularly for ACH payroll payments.
    • Process cash and check deposits as required.
    • Assist in cost accounting procedures.
    • Track fixed assets effectively.
    • Provide support in the preparation of monthly financial statements for multiple entities, with potential growth to lead in statement preparation.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
    • 2+ years' experience in accounting or financial management.
