- Analyze requirements and employ established engineering methodologies to design technical solutions, focusing on cost-effective reuse, existing technologies, and frameworks. In addition, custom-developed components should be prescribed to create comprehensive and sustainable solutions.
- Produce specifications, design documents, and architecture diagrams clearly defining systems' components, interfaces, and behaviors.
- Lead technical discussions, present proposals, and offer recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to development teams during implementation to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and best practices.
- Manage and mentor junior architects and technical staff, offering necessary guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure systems and applications meet established security and compliance standards.
- Review existing systems and applications to identify opportunities for improvement and modernization.
- Conduct research and evaluation of emerging technologies and trends to determine their potential impact on existing and future solution designs.
- Provide input to the Project Manager regarding technical decisions and risks.
- Work in a fast-paced development environment with the ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously.
- Serve as a valuable project team member, ready to assist programs needing software programming assistance, hardware selection, or hardware/software integration.
- Education: Bachelor or higher degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Experience in the development and delivery of application hardware/software.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C, C++, C#) and hardware/software engineering design patterns.
- Familiarity with building and synthesizing requirements.
- Experience with hardware/software interfaces.
- Experience developing Government Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) related to technical solutions.
- Configuration management tools experience is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience; preferred minimum of 15 years.
- Atlassian Tool Set (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
- Programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java.
- Microsoft Visio.
- Must possess an active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
- Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US passport.
