Production Manager leads the US Production Team within Global Business Services and effectively manages their teams to world class performance through coaching, problem solving and process improvement while working as a liaison between various internal and external departments. The Manager is responsible for ensuring product quality is provided to all customers, ensuring on-going compliance with procedures, implementing continuous improvement and assessing employee productivity by providing guidance, training and leadership on a daily basis. The Manager is responsible for the oversight, creation and management of processes relating to order exceptions and service escalations for product backorders, material allocations, debits, credits and returns.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by orienting and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Complete production plan by assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow at shift production meeting.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; by monitoring and updating metrics.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Passionate about driving the organization to customer on time delivery.
  • Establish performance metrics aligned with managing and effective, cost efficient business. Utilize root cause analysis to make improvements to processes.
  • Additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on production planning and management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRP, and other ERP systems
  • Strong background in supply chain management and operations management
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques
  • Ability to effectively manage plant operations and ensure quality control standards are met
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of assembly processes

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
