We are seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) with excellent communication skills to join our team in Newport, RI.

The ideal candidate will have a certification or diploma in an Electrical field and demonstrate strong electrical competencies in both practice and theory.

Knowledge of mechanical systems, including Mechanical, HVAC systems, and Controls, is also required.

This role will involve drafting accurate support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries, as well as taking full ownership of technical issues.

The candidate must be willing to travel between Data center sites, and internationally if required. Strong IT skills, including experience and knowledge of the MS Office suite, are also necessary.


As an EOT, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of best practice systems and problem resolution for all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, such as UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, and cooling systems.

This role requires a highly motivated and self-managed individual who can proactively seek solutions to complex technical problems. You will be involved in frequent site interventions, critical switching activities, and troubleshooting and fixing infrastructure issues.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on capacity on Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) infrastructure, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS's, PDU's, AHU's, fire detection systems, and building automation systems.

You will report to the Data Center Engineering Operations Manager.
