Director of Operations for XF Recreational Soccer ClubLWYSA Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association
A leadership position that oversees the strategic vision, operational plan, and daily management of LWYSA's recreational soccer program.
Summary
The Director of Operations (DOO) reports to the Board of Directors and works in collaboration with the Director of Coaching (DOC) and LWYSA staff to deliver high-quality soccer programs and services to the club's members.
The DOO is responsible for all aspects of the program's daily operations, including communication, registration, budgeting, volunteers, contracts, grants, policies, surveys, and sponsorships.
The DOO manages the relationship with Washington Youth Soccer and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant governance and safety requirements.
Hours of work are flexible with the expectation you are able to contact parents, LWYSA staff, or other members/stakeholders during reasonable hours of the day.
Onsite work is required at times so the job is considered part-time remote work.Role and Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and evaluate all programs with assistance from DOC, in alignment with the club's mission, vision, and goals.
Coordinate and manage internal and external communication, including websites, social media, email, and public speaking.
Support the DOC to resolve parent/player/coach conflicts and answer inquiries about the program.
Work with LWYSA office staff on setting up and monitoring registrations for fall, spring, and supplemental programs.
Work with LWYSA office staff to ensure payments are made for goods, services, and reimbursements for expenses and coaching education.
Oversee club contracts, including annual DOC contract, sponsorship contract, and any future contractual agreements.
Recruit volunteer coaches and ensure all coaches are RMA cleared.
Establish and manage relationship with Washington Youth Soccer and other "Rec Soccer" club stewards.
Implement policies and procedures to ensure volunteers comply with SafeSport and other governance requirements.
Write and apply for grants to support the club's programs and services.
Collaborate with DOC and LWYSA Staff to develop end of season survey for members & coaches and provide results to Rec Board.
Provide monthly operating reports to the board including activities and issues being addressed.
Seek to increase the level of sponsorship and donated funds to the club by developing a sponsorship package and identifying potential donors.
Collaborate with DOC to develop an outreach program in diverse communities and schools.
Organize, run, and present at club parent, coach, and annual meetings.
Coordinate and conduct XF Rec informational nights for existing and new families within the community.
Oversee inventory of equipment for the Rec Program. This includes procurement, organization, storage, and distribution.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a timely manner.
Ability to do occasional heavy lifting (equipment, boxes, etc.)
Additional Qualification Preferred
A proven track record of success in player and coach retention, club growth, and overall coach experience.
Non-Profit business management experience
Excellent public speaking skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and days.
Successful experience as a coach, trainer
Experience as director of operations in a soccer club
Experience and ability to communicate and work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and family structures.
