- Overview of the Role: The Program Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing student development programs and services. This position involves serving on committees, advising student organizations, and collaborating with campus and community partners.
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Five years' experience in student affairs work with a bachelor's degree
- Three years' experience in student affairs work with a master's degree
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in humanities, social science, or related area, or master's degree in student affairs or related field
- Prior experience in educational programming and student development
- Student Organization Advising: Provide guidance and leadership development to student committees, assist in membership recruitment, and ensure the sustainability of student organizations.
- Student Competency/Skill Development: Educate students on various skills such as leadership, risk management, and decision making.
- Campus and Community Collaboration: Foster partnerships with different organizations to enhance student experiences and engagement.
- Budgeting & Development: Monitor financial activities and fundraising efforts for student committees.
- Travel Expectations: Accompany students on organizational trips and facilitate international service experiences.
- Program Implementation: Coordinate international travel programs, manage logistics, and oversee event planning.
- Administration: Attend organizational meetings, submit reports, and adhere to university policies.
- Supervision of Graduate Assistant: Recruit, train, and evaluate graduate assistant support.
