    **Duties**

    ** Summary**

    This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Management Services, People Services Directorate, Headquarters Administrative Services Group, Administrative Services Team, AJG-P1. This group is responsible for fulfilling the ATO's human capital needs through active engagement, planning, and strategizing with our customers to attract and retain a diverse, qualified workforce.

    **Responsibilities**

    As a Program Support Specialist, he/she provides support to all levels regarding approaches for administrative and resource management issues, administrative management procedures and guidelines, and other subjects requiring application for consistency throughout the ATO. He/she performs a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team lead, or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/programs within a defined area of responsibility.

    He/she applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable to administration program support and management of organization to plan and accomplish assignments. Assignments may require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines. Typical assignments may include: data entry for Productivity Platform, Aviator and Personnel Action Request (PAR) case files; preparing and routing personnel actions to Office of Human Resource for processing; collecting and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policy/procedures; identifying problems; conducting research; and working with higher and lower level professionals in day-to-day operations.

    He/she may assist more experienced staff in developing innovative approaches to attain organizational objectives and optimize resource utilization. May assist in implementing administrative polices, standard operating procedures, and approaches to day-to-day operations. This includes refining administrative processes; standardizing PAR forms. In accordance with nature of action codes governing policy/checklists; documenting work-flow and work procedures; and other administrative tasks, taking into consideration FAA policies, government-wide rules/regulations, and industry standards.

    Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit, ATO from the Vice Presidents to the individual employees and the corporate office in the Agency; and external with staff offices within the FAA to share information, provide written data and/or explain the statuses of assignments. Typically receives guidance on selecting approaches from a manager, team lead, project/program manager, or more experienced professional. Refers problems and work issues to a manager, team lead, project/program manager, or more experienced professional when guidelines are not available/ applicable.

    As a Program Support Specialist, he/she will report directly to the Team Manager, Administrative Services. Typically, work is reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and all aspects of quality. The work activities support activities that may be vital to success of the entire ATO with the potential to influence other lines of business/staff offices within the Agency.

    To qualify for this position at the FV-G FG/GS 10-11 levelyou must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F, FG/GS 9-10 level.
