- Manage and coordinate the procurement function, including overseeing Buyers and procurement activities for valve materials, actuators, and outsourcing services.
- Review and monitor MRP requirements, utilizing purchasing modules in Syteline efficiently.
- Develop and implement procurement procedures and policies as necessary.
- Oversee procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance closely.
- Track and monitor purchase costs for materials and finished parts.
- Lead process improvements to increase departmental efficiencies.
- Supervise employees in the Purchasing Department, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience, with at least 5 years of Materials Manager experience.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Safety-conscious with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service-focused with strong analytical abilities.
- Skilled in planning, organizing, and adjusting projects with multiple phases.
- Experience in process improvement methodologies is a plus.
