Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with business objectives
- Identify costsaving opportunities through supplier negotiation and contract management
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate vendor performance
- Oversee inventory control to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs
- Utilize MRP systems to forecast demand and manage inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, and supply chain management
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory control practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
