- Coordinates alignment of business objectives with employees and management in designated business segments
- Consults with management on human resource-related issues and provides HR guidance when appropriate.
- Evaluates and anticipates HR-related needs, and communicates needs with the HR Department and business management.
- Develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
- Conducts regular meetings with respective business segment.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as directed and managed by the Director of Human Resources
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) and ensures the Director of Human Resources is aware and approves course of action
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Responsible for all employee actions, including: new hire onboarding, employee changes (transfers, promotions, salary increases, etc) and terminations.
- May assist OCONUS employees with related HR matters.
- Assists with training needs for business segment and individual executive coaching needs.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or HRCI PHR
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
