U.S. Silica is a global performance materials company and a leading producer of commercial silica used in a wide range of industrial applications and in the oil and gas industry. U.S. Silicas wholly owned subsidiaries include EP Minerals and SandBox Logistics. EP Minerals is an industry leader in the production of products derived from diatomaceous earth, perlite, engineered clays, and non-activated clays. SandBox Logistics is a state-of-the-art leader in proppant storage, handling and well-site delivery, dedicated to making proppant logistics cleaner, safer and more efficient. During our 121-year history, we have developed core competencies in mining, processing, logistics and materials science that enable us to produce and cost-effectively deliver over 400 diversified product types to customers across our end markets. As of December 31, 2020, we operated 23 production facilities across the United States. We control 489 million tons of reserves of commercial silica, which can be processed to make 197 million tons of finished products that meet American Petroleum Institute ("API") frac sand specifications, and 79 million tons of reserves of diatomaceous earth, perlite, and clays.
The Company is headquartered in Katy, Texas, and has an office located in Reno, Nevada.
Responsible for eastern regional filtration, select national distribution accounts and national cool roof granule (crg) market. The primary focus of this position is the maintenance and growth of business within us silicas performance materials filtration and crg clients. These relationships will transcend from our clients corporate offices to plant locations and distribution centers.
**Essential Job Functions:**
Lead and develop programs, projects and initiatives for select accounts in North America, including the management of select North America accounts and assigned key market segments. (20%)
Grow business in new markets, working with Technical Sales and Business Development teams to introduce US Silica products into non-traditional applications. Coordinate between internal teams and assigned territory in launch of new products to existing and new markets. (20%)
Develop an in-depth knowledge of all accounts and the key decision making personnel within each account. At the same time, develop relationships with key personnel at client manufacturing sites (engineers, R&D, operations managers, etc.). (20%)
Must build cross-functional relationships with US Silicas groups to support customer expectations. Groups include Marketing, Research and Development, Technical Service, Customer Service, Logistics, Engineering, and Plant Operations. (10%)
Provide technical support to the customers and coordinate with the appropriate US Silica personnel for additional technical support for unusual situations (10%)
Reviews, amends and executes contracts with our corporate client base
Prospect new customer contacts and referrals (5%)
Maintain up-to-date records in SalesForce on all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, training, market/competitive info and follow-up items. (5%)
Support resolution of and communication to customers surrounding all customer complaints or product quality issues within territory. (5%)
**Required Education, Experience, and Skills:**
Bachelors' Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related
Must be able to develop and demonstrate a comprehensive technical understanding of diatomaceous earth, perlite and cool roof granules and their application within the filtration and construction industries.
Experience with raw materials and / or process-based industries (filtration experience is highly desired).
