Who you are:
You know logistics, have experience with both domestic and international shipments (aka, Customs regulations) and are not afraid to negotiate rates.
You are a planner and are known for your ability to put pieces of the puzzle together so things run smoothly.
You are an out of the box thinker and approach work with curiosity. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You want to make an impact in a growing company. You have a positive attitude, are driven, and want to work with a company that gets stuff doneResponsibilities include:
Coordinate the movement of freight shipments by working with carriers, freight forwarders and transportation providers
Analyze shipping routes consolidate shipments, negotiate rates and explore various transportation options
Plan and schedule shipments to ensure on time delivery
Stay updated on all compliance and regulations
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers
Develop and maintain KPI's to measure and track transportation performance
Occasional travel to local warehouses
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in freight coordination, transportation operations or logistics coordination
Knowledge and experience with various modes of transportation
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient with freight management systems and transportation software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Hybrid environment out of our corporate office in Mendota Heights, MN (4 days per week in office)
