Paul Wurth Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the SMS group, is an internationally operating company in the field of plant engineering for the iron and steel industry.
Our strengths lie in the engineering of hot blast stoves and high-temperature linings for blast furnaces and gas cleaning systems.
Responsibilities:
- Preliminary dimensioning of vessels and pipelines
- Feasibility studies and development of static systems
- Preparation of verifiable calculations, in German and English, for vessels (EN13445, AD2000, possibly ASME BPVC) and pipelines (EN13480)
- Creation of technical specifications and descriptions, taking into account manufacturing and static aspects, based on existing templates
- Close collaboration with designers in the planning of blast furnace, hot blast stove systems, and auxiliary equipment in the bidding and order stages
- Further development and standardization of methods and processes in engineering
Mandatory requirements:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering
- Professional experience in the field of pipeline and apparatus calculation, possibly knowledge in steel construction
- Proficient in calculation programs (e.g. ANSYS, DIMy, Rohr2, SCIA); basic knowledge of CAD desirable (AutoCAD,
