- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity measures to protect service infrastructure and data.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other security regulations.
- Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Minimizes security vulnerabilities by following industry insights and governmental regulations to continuously evolve security protocols, including creating processes to determine the effectiveness of current controls.
- Lead incident response and breach investigations, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, and adjust security strategies accordingly.
- Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices and HIPAA compliance to internal teams.
- Develop and conduct cybersecurity training and awareness programs within the organization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on healthcare applications.
- Formal training or certification on secure and compliant product feature delivery concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise level security solutions
- Advanced in one or more programming languages
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with network security, encryption, threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing.
- Experience with various security tools and products (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, etc.).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO and other compliance regulations (GDPR, etc.).
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Professional cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Experience in cybersecurity initiatives within healthcare providers/businesses is a plus.
