Project Overview
The ServiceNow BA will act as a pivotal communication link within the scrum team, addressing queries and facilitating smooth interactions between developers and project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the success of the Azure migration by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of CMDB data, which is vital for all project-related decisions.
The ability to work across various teams and manage a large volume of applications will be key to driving the project forward.
Background:
This is a new role created to resolve emerging issues with ServiceNow and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) during an ongoing Azure migration.
The role will focus on providing guidance and support to understand and manage CMDB effectively, ensuring it becomes a reliable source of project information.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with Application Teams to maintain and update CMDB entries, standardizing processes for future adherence.
Understand in-depth the applications, hardware, and software in use, especially in the context of the Azure migration.
Engage with both Business and IT Divisions, crafting messages that resonate and align with the interests of both groups.
Collaborate closely with the Product Owner on the ServiceNow team to incorporate stories and enhancements into the project management framework.
Requirements:
Must possess a strong foundational knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB.
At least 2 years of experience in an Analyst role, with a background in IT, Asset Management, or Infrastructure.
Proven ability to sift through extensive data, currently spread across 200+ spreadsheets, and integrate this information into the CMDB.
Proficient in requirements gathering, conducting marketing campaigns, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills to articulate value and drive urgency in project deliverables.
Proficiency in using ServiceNow CMDB as the primary tool for managing project data.
