The Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEOB) has a strong commitment to ensuring all members of our community feel like they belong at Kennesaw State University. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time, faculty positions in Environmental Science in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology for the academic year beginning in January 2024. These positions are on an as needed basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to establish an inclusive teaching environment where all students feel like they belong and can be successful. The primary responsibilities involve teaching undergraduate, non-STEM students the importance of science as a way of knowing in our Environmental Science general education courses (SCI 1101 and SCI Students should finish these courses understanding the importance of science in their everyday lives.
An emphasis on active and high-impact learning is important for engaging students in the learning process.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

· A record of using evidence-based, inclusive teaching practices at the university level.
· A record of teaching non-STEM majors.
· A record of teaching environmental-science-related courses.
· A flexible schedule that can support teaching evenings.
