- Teaching undergraduate courses in the area of vertebrate zoology, biology, or area of specialization.
- The main responsibility of this position will be to teach Vertebrate Zoology (BIOL 3315K) for biology and environmental science majors.
- Other teaching responsibilities may include other undergraduate biology or environmental science courses as needed by the department.
- Successful candidates will be expected to establish a teaching environment where all students can be successful and feel a sense of belonging.
- Duties may include teaching evenings, online or in a hybrid format.
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Biology, Vertebrate Zoology, Vertebrate Ecology or a closely related discipline is required.
OR - A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.
- Demonstrated success using evidence-based teaching practices at the university level.
- A record of teaching vertebrate zoology, organismal biology, evolutionary biology, and/or ecology,
- Experience mentoring undergraduate students from all backgrounds.

Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor of Vertebrate Zoology and General Biology faculty position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology with a preferred start date of August 2024. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
