- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 5 years of full time, relevant experience
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally, both internally and externally and build relationships with International Customers and Suppliers
- Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.)
- Experience managing commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance
- Past experience developing international sourcing strategies
- Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills
- High level of analytical ability where problems can be extremely complex
- Developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP and MRP Systems
- Global Defense industry experience
- Knowledge of procurement software
- Knowledge of materials management
- Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
- Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes

The Role:
As a Sr. Buyer for International Business opportunities, you will be responsible for purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or services. You will actively participate in development of commodity strategy, sourcing/negotiations, global/regional material budget execution, and interface with suppliers or internal stakeholders. The work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment
