As we continue to expand our services and enhance our capabilities, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team.
Job Overview:
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and driving the financial performance of our hospital.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial planning, revenue cycle management, financial reporting, and compliance.
Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, and Board of Directors, you will provide strategic guidance and actionable insights to support the hospital's mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities for the Chief Financial Officer:
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance and ensure long-term sustainability.
Manage the hospital's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to support informed decision-making by senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Oversee revenue cycle management processes, including billing, collections, and reimbursement, to maximize revenue streams and minimize revenue leakage.Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and growth opportunities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks and maintain transparency and accountability.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with other senior leaders, physicians, and external stakeholders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and innovation across the organization.
Qualifications for the CFO Position:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
required .
MBA in accounting, finance, or healthcare / business administration and / or CPA is
preferred .
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a critical access healthcare capacity.
Strong understanding of healthcare finance regulations, reimbursement systems, and industry trends, particularly those relevant to New York State.
Proven track record of leadership and strategic financial planning, with the ability to drive results and manage change in a complex organizational environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.Proficiency in financial management software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
