- Organizes the day-to-day operations of the office by assisting the associate director prepare for staff meetings and other staff-related items;
- Manages external communications, including event invitations, for the director's ASP-focused events, projects, and publications;
- Monitors all financial transactions (revenue and expenses) for the program on a monthly basis; supports the development of the program budget, budget reviews, and project and proposal reporting;
- Manages select ASP events;
- Coordinates intern staff in support of program events;
- Maintain various materials to ensure they are up-to-date, including the ASP staff list, ASP interns, staff meetings, non-resident affiliates, and the ASP onboarding document;
- Assist other scholars in ASP with various research and administrative tasks, including submitting invoices, maintaining program trackers, paying vendors, and more;
- Other administrative tasks as needed.
- B.A./B.S. in International Relations, Political Science, or related field (minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent);
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability to manage administrative responsibilities and tasks;
- Ability to work closely and cooperatively with a range of individuals with diverse interests, backgrounds, dispositions, and executive levels;
- Ability to write business correspondence, short program descriptions, and other relevant writing assignments, etc.;
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines;
- Must possess strong communication skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from constituency groups, media, governmental entities, and the general public; and
- Must be computer literate in Windows environment.

Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe. The CSIS Aerospace Security Project (ASP) is seeking a Program Coordinator who will support the operational and substantive goals of ASP and will be expected to play a key role in the successful administration of ASP.
Responsibilities cross all program components, including:
event planning, budget tracking and expense reports, project and intern organization, team scheduling, and development.
This person will report directly to the Deputy Director of ASP and will help to maintain all major functions of the entire program, working on a variety of administrative projects, including with other scholars on the team.
The role has room for additional growth in program management or research support roles, after mastery of essential duties and responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess excellent communication skills, and have exceptional organizational and time management skills.
The minimum salary for this position is $60,000.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
