- Creation and execution of capital projects for process improvements or new installations including all phases of design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Propose new equipment or technologies for the optimization of production processes, compliance with Döhler environmental targets, or generation of utility services.
- Effective budget development and control, including management of the procurement process, for approved projects.
- Development and coordination of engineering studies in all disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Auxiliary Services, Fire protection system, etc.
- Management of procedures and policies to maintain compliance with all local and federal regulations.
- Lead and manage the maintenance of plant equipment and utility services.
- Communicate effectively to all stakeholders.
- Ensure that in-house and statutory specifications and guidelines on hygiene, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety and environmental protection are implemented in subordinate organizational units.
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) from an accredited university in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience, five years of which includes supervisory responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
- Significant successful experience leading large (greater than $25 million) capital projects.
- Demonstrated success leading factory maintenance departments.
- Experience with SAP, CAD, and MS Office software systems.
- Experience in a flavor, food and beverage, or specialty chemical manufacturing factory is preferred.
