Currently, more than engineers work for us to realize and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, train stations, tracks, and signal systems - but there are still not enough.

As an engineer at the German Railway, you can plan, manage, or monitor something that will remain:
the infrastructure for future generations.


We are currently looking for you as a (Junior) Electrical Engineer Operations (m/f/d) for DB Energie GmbH at the Lehrte location, starting as soon as possible.


Your tasks:

  • As a (Junior) Electrical Engineer Operations, you ensure the reliable and costeffective operation of the 16.7 Hz and 50 Hz systems in accordance with the system and supply network strategy, as well as customer requirements.
  • You initiate measures based on the findings of network operations to increase availability.
  • You develop fault clearance concepts for electrical systems in our network operations area.
  • You evaluate shortcircuit reports, fault reports, and daily reports.
  • You are responsible for the technical review of operating and construction instructions within the eworkflow with overhead line shutdowns, with a focus on ensuring a secure energy supply.
  • You participate in the review and processing of annual and partial construction operating plans from the perspective of network operations, as well as the commissioning of new systems.
