Bridger Photonics' Gas Mapping LiDARTM technology simplifies and enhances methane gas detection in the oil & gas industry to boost safety and minimize emissions. Position Overview

Bridger Photonics' Gas Mapping LiDAR (GML) has revolutionized methane emissions management by providing comprehensive coverage of entire distribution networks, effectively optimizing methane emission management. We are in search of a Business Development Manager to lead our growth with Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) / Utilities. This pivotal role demands a profound understanding of the distribution industry, leak detection workflows, and the capability to formulate and implement strategies to establish Bridger Photonics as a top-tier provider of cutting-edge gas leak detection solutions for LDCs.

Key Responsibilities

Market Penetration Strategy: Develop and execute a tailored market penetration strategy for the distribution market, identifying market segments and aligned customers to engage gas utilities effectively and position Bridger Photonics as a reliable partner for emissions management.
Solution and Workflow Development: Utilize your extensive understanding of leak detection workflows in gas utilities to collaborate with sales teams and customers in implementing Bridger Photonics' technologies with a technology layering approach, aiding customers in risk reduction and emissions management.
Product Development: Engage closely with the Research and Development teams to design distribution-specific products and enhancements, aligning product roadmaps with evolving distribution market needs.
Partnership Development: Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with essential entities in the distribution industry to enhance product portfolios, extend market reach, and bolster adoption of Bridger Photonics' solutions.
Value Proposition Development: Utilize your insight into the unique requirements and challenges of gas utilities to craft and communicate the value proposition of Gas Mapping LiDAR.
Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute effective marketing campaigns and outreach efforts targeting the distribution market. Develop compelling marketing materials, deliver presentations at industry events, and position Bridger Photonics as a thought leader in the gas leak detection space.
Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to gas leak detection in the distribution market. Serve as an in-house expert, offering insights on market dynamics and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related), with a strong business acumen (MBA preferred).
Profound knowledge of leak detection workflows and processes in gas utilities, including familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Ability to identify key stakeholders within client organizations and engage with various levels and functions, ranging from R&D to executive management.
Extensive network and established relationships within the distribution and gas utility sector.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strategic mindset with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a mix of internal and external professionals, from scientists and engineers to executives and support staff.
Enthusiasm for technology and innovation in gas leak detection specifically in the distribution market.

Preferred Qualifications:

Over 10 years of experience in technical sales, product management, business development, or related fields.
Proven success in business development, especially in the distribution sector, focusing on gas utilities and leak detection solutions.
Track record of crafting and executing successful market penetration strategies targeting specific industries or segments.
Experience in collaborating on product development, working closely with cross-functional teams like R&D and engineering.
Familiarity with selling and/or delivering data products.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time salaried role.
Travel may be necessary for this position.
The position is based at Bridger's facility in Bozeman, MT, and does not support remote work.
Salary will be based on education, experience, and skills.
