    OUTLINE OF ROLE/SITE

    Jaguar Land Rover is a British prestige vehicle manufacturer with over 100 years of bringing the luxury Jaguar and Land Rover brands from conception to reality, JLR leads the market in the integration of advanced technologies with its vehicles to provide the ultimate driving experience.

    Jaguar Land Rover's Global Digital Development group works with other JLR engineering groups and external suppliers to identify and integrate emerging technologies into future JLR vehicle product lines.

    As a part of our automotive electronics development team, you will contribute to new product initiatives aimed at integrating the latest exterior vision and sensor technologies with the in-vehicle electronic systems to maximize functionality, user experience and safety.

    What you will be doing:

  • Contributes System Engineering inputs during development cycles for the HMI system development of vehicle cockpit systems.
  • Contributes directly to and coordinates the development of systems engineering deliverables including: SYSML Models Requirements and interface traceability System Interface designs, System behavioral and data models.
  • Provides updates to program leadership to ensure synchronization and smooth flow of information.
  • Collaborates across multiple system domains, to deliver integrated functionality with traceability across system boundaries.
  • Ability and curiosity to absorb complex information about systems, outside of primary domain
  • Contribute to systems engineering processes improvements and provide ongoing reviews of systems engineering deliverables.
  • Contribute technical leadership for advanced technology development.
  • Become a technical Subject Matter Expert for the systems engineering aspects of HMI for vehicle systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • What you will have:

    REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline from ABET accredited program.
  • Solid knowledge of Systems Engineering practices and principles.
  • Ability to quickly understand software and hardware requirements.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with customer/user focused feature development and user experience research.
  • Systematic problem-solving skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • DESIREABLE:

  • Experience in Automotive or Aviation System/Software Development including relevant standards such as: ASPICE, ISO-26262, DO-178 and Agile SAFe.
  • Tools experience in requirements management (TRM) Modeling (MSOSA) and agile tools (JIRA)
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience with at least some experience developing HMI for regulated products.
  • Experience in automotive product release and requirements management processes.
