- Assist in the development and maintenance of the QMS to uphold quality and regulatory requirements
- Collect and analyze appropriate data to demonstrate the conformity, suitability, and effectiveness of the QMS and evaluate continual improvement
- Maintain KPI's and prepare weekly and monthly reports
- Utilize process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean to analyze data, identify root causes of quality issues, and implement effective solutions
- Support and sometimes lead significant Quality System projects effectively using a working knowledge of project management techniques
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process optimization projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing defects, and improving overall product quality
- Drive compliance to industry standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or similar field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years professional experience in quality engineering or related role, 5+ years' experience preferred
- Knowledge of and experience managing and supporting QMS systems (Training, Auditing, Document Control, Change Management, Corrective Actions)
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF16949 or similar QMS
- Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
- Detail oriented, with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of business improvement philosophies and their respective tools. e.g. Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often across multiple time zones
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Limited travel requirements

Summary:
The Quality System Engineer is responsible for supporting the global integrated Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. This role will support implementation and management of the QMS system, as well as monitoring and tracking trending of key performance indicator (KPI) data for the quality systems.
