- Utilize your knowledge of DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) to ensure compliance with regulations and streamline project execution.
- Support projects involving Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Military Sealift Command procedures and processes, fostering international collaboration and expanding market opportunities.
- Conduct advanced mechanical analysis and simulations to optimize the design and performance of ship systems and equipment.
- Perform mechanical tests and evaluations to validate the reliability and functionality of mechanical components.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in DoD/DoN program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management.
- Active Secret Clearance verifiable in DISS/JPAS.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer License, showcasing your commitment to excellence in mechanical engineering.

Sayres is currently seeking an experienced Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer with an active SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
As a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in providing engineering and technical support for a wide range of shipbuilding activities. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will be crucial in supporting concept studies, feasibility studies, preliminary design, contract design, detail design, construction activities, independent design reviews, and shipboard installation support. Additionally, you will contribute to special studies related to ships, boats, craft, ship systems, and shipboard equipment.
