    Sonos seeks a Mechanical Engineer who can lead the mechanical development of our world class wireless audio and home theater components.

    The successful candidate will be joining a team of highly skilled, energetic Mechanical Engineers who collaborate as a team and help each other solve complex design challenges.

    The Principal Mechanical Engineer will engage at the highest levels of Product Development with experienced cross-functional staff to conceive, design and bring to market innovative concepts.

    Drive a project without supervision
    Be responsible for the mechanical integrity of the entire project, including:
    stack-up tolerance analyses
    Coordination and review of ME Analysis team simulations,
    MCAD (2D & 3D) creation and release
    Come help realize this belief by creating great sound through premium design.
    12+ years experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics, and significant experience designing for mass production.
    ~ Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree
    ~ Experience collaborating cross functionally with ID, EE, and other engineering groups
    ~ Highly experienced in design of plastic, metal and elastomer parts
    ~ In depth understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, die-casting, stamping, thermoforming, machining, finishing/decorating etc.
    ~ Strong 3D modeling skills
    ~ Willing to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10-15%

    Experience designing for both indoor and outdoor applications
    Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers
    Experience working with Asian based contract manufacturers and directing activities during prototype builds, including process and fixture definition
    Understanding of product quality metrics and methods including GD&T, DFMEA, Statistical Process Control (SPC).
    Ability to speak Mandarin
