- Oversees the daily production operations of the plant.
- Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met/followed.
- Develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers.
- Oversees production staff, including hiring/training of personnel.
- May be required to meet certain certifications in field.
- Reports to head of a unit or Dept.
- Plant Operations Managers manage production processes including raw materials management, quality, throughput and staffing.
- Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
- Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
- Work in a noisy environment

- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
