    Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for a Purchasing Coordinator

    The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting our procurement team.Duties include but are not limited to filing electronic and manual contracts, certificates of insurance, credit applications, auditing of contracts, and facilitating the office supply program. The Purchasing Coordinator will also maintain the purchasing systems to include the setup of new vendors, product/item set up, input bids from vendors, training the department on the procurement system, and naming convention consistency. This position will support the Procurement Manager and department.

    All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.

    Job Duties
    • Provide exceptional service to our internal and external customers by modeling Sunseeker's expectations for customer service.
    • Work with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders and identify discrepancies.
    • Receive against purchase orders in Adaco.
    • Oversee communication of POs to all stake holders.
    • Maintain up to date information for the resort regarding brand standards for purchases.
    • Maintain a database for major purchases.
    • Resolve conflicts between the property and vendors.
    • Assist in setting up new vendors.
    • Provide excellent service for our team members.
    • Understand vendors and services they provide.
    • Assist in securing best pricing and availability for company needs.
    • Assist the finance department to review payment and invoice status as needed.
    • Reconciliations for any discrepancies in invoices.
    • Follow up with vendors on any inconsistent invoicing practices.
    • Ability to understand and utilize all software used in this role.
    • Train resort team members on purchasing procedures and policies.
    • Develop collaborative relationships and synergy with all support departments such as Convention Sales & Service, Facilities, Security, Front Services, Front Office, F&B, Golf Course and Executive Offices.
    • Maintain all vendor information for the property
    • Assist the Inventory Control Clerk with end of month inventory
    • Assist the Finance department to review payment and invoice status as needed
    • Receiving all invoices for the Property
    • Working with all USPS, FedEx and Ups deliveries and set up of new users
    • Perform other functions as needed.
    Minimum Requirements

    Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates.     • Minimum of two (2) - three (3) years of experience as a Purchasing Coordinator/Assistant
    • Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting preferred
    • Knowledge of Fourth/Adaco ordering systems preferred
    Other Minimum Requirements
    • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Highest level of integrity, accountability, and teamwork
    • Work in a safe, wary, and organized manner
    • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
    • Sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
    • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
    • Ability to communicate effectively with Management
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
