    Job Description:

    The main role of a Construction Manager is to oversee multiple construction projects within the Trader Joe's Neighborhood Grocery stores chain, operating in stores that are currently active. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the design, budgeting, and construction of ongoing store projects.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Engage and supervise architects, industry professionals, engineers, and contractors.
    • Coordinate design, work scope, and timeline with the store operations team and secure internal approvals.
    • Inspect construction documents for precision and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments like Purchasing, MIS, and Accounting.
    • Supervise architects in creating construction documents, providing expertise in Refrigeration Equipment, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
    • Supervise multiple construction and special projects yearly to ensure timely completion, budget management, precision, and quality of work.

    Job Requirements:

    • Solid knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
    • Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
    • Familiarity with National Building, Fire, and Accessibility codes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
    • Exceptional focus on detail, communication abilities, and interpersonal skills.
    • Problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and a strong sense of dedication.
