    PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

    ABOUT THE COMPANY:

    OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

    • Assist in the management of day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies & external audit.
    • Collaborate with the manager to take charge of and be responsible for the monthly and quarterly financial and metric reporting, as well as conducting monthly analysis of any differences or variations.
    • The Project Accountant develops internal policies, processes and procedures that are appropriately tailored to be effective and efficient in our company environment. You will drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations.
    • Complete the accounting month-end/year-end close process.
    • The Project Accountant partners with the accounting team leadership to construct month-end close cycle cadence to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
    • Prepare and manage all journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the general ledger month-end process.
    • In conjunction with the project, construction, and asset management teams, prepare internal budgets and forecasts for each project.
    • Complete other duties as assigned with the accounting and finance team.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's preferred.
    • 3+ years of public or private industry experience required for the Project Accountant role.
    • Possess and aptitude for technology & proficiency in MS Office Suite products with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and team-oriented environment.
    • Experience in managing and coordinating multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
