    Description
    Responsible for all operations, maintenance, and appearance of assigned branch. Manages tellers and member service representatives for respective location. Manages the lending function of the branch with overall responsibility for all lending activity. Oversees and aids all branch functionality to ensure it is at optimum performance. Responsible for developing membership/business of each location by making outbound sales calls to local businesses and attending community events.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Maintains exceptional level of member services.
    Attracts new members and manages member and account retention.
    Professionally represents the organization and encourages staff to attend community functions as requested.
    Underwrites certain loans, as well as review loans made by subordinates.
    Manages, develops, motivates, and mentors the staff for the assigned locations.
    Trains and coaches' staff in all areas of teller services, member services, products and services, operations, and interpersonal skills.
    Sets mutual goals with the staff and holds developmental meetings to achieve higher levels of skills, knowledge, and proficiency.
    Demonstrates the uses of good marketing techniques for cross selling and can train others.
    Ensures each staff member is meeting or exceeding individual branch sales and lending goals.
    Provides adequate praise and constructive feedback to achieve desired results.
    Holds regular staff meetings/coaching sessions to provide guidance to staff members and informs them of any changes and updates.
    Provides orientation/onboarding to new employees in overall branch procedures.
    Actively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept abreast of all products and services.
    Conducts security training for branch.
    Tracks and evaluates the branch and staff performance.
    Facilitates employee evaluations and recommends salary adjustments.

    Addresses disciplinary and/or performance problems according to Credit Union policy and provides accurate and timely documentation to the VP of HR.

    Ensures branch is compliant with audit, policy, procedures, and loss prevention including but not limited to BSA laws.
    Serves as security officer for assigned branch.
    Follows and strictly adheres to the established security procedures.

    Ensures assigned branch is compliant with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.

    Ensures regulatory procedures are updated as necessary and branch opens and closes in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.

    Monitors branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, and new accounts.

    Resolves complaints and problematic issues at the Branch level.
    Properly and timely notifies senior management when problems cannot be handled at the Branch level.
    Ensures that all branch equipment is functioning and in good condition.
    Calls for service and maintenance as needed in a timely fashion.

    Ensures the physical environment of the branch is maintained and the staff appearance reflects the desired level of professionalism of the Credit Union.

    Oversees Automatic Teller Machines for availability by adhering to cash levels, and ensuring cameras, receipt paper, etc. are properly placed.

    Supports Operation Managers, Senior Management, and the Board of Directors in all corporate decisions that are made by positively reinforcing them with direct reports.

    Maintains confidentiality and discretion in all applicable instances.
    Performs other functions and special projects as requested by Senior Management.
    Maintains written procedures for position.

    Job Specification
    Bachelor's degree or higher


    OR
    7+ years related experience

    Training Requirements:
    Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (word, excel, and office).
    Use of desktop and laptop computers.
    Working knowledge of other core systems.
    Lending, Sales, and Service training
    Annual training to ensure compliance with NCUA requirements, rules, and regulations.

    Work Experience:
    Five (5) or more years of experience in a financial institution setting
    Three (3) or more years of management experience

    Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
    Proven leadership skills
    Solid organizational and time management skills.
    Self-directed and self-motivated.
    Intermediate math skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
    Above average sales and negotiation skills
    Physical Requirements

    Perform primarily sedentary work on computer or laptop for an average of eight (8) hours per day. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
    Other Requirements

    Must be able to perform job functions with supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.

    Must be able to read and carry out various instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy.

    Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.

    Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.

    Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.
