- Partner with senior leaders and management to gain an in-depth understanding of the department's goals, business priorities, strategic initiatives and needs
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team by developing strong, proactive, and collaborative working relationships
- Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully establish and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Partner with Director of HR and Chief HR Officer (CHRO) to develop and execute long-term and short-term HR strategies and programs that directly enable business objectives
- Partner with Learning & Development team to design and facilitate trainings and development opportunities to enable growth for employees and managers
- Drive key HR projects and initiatives in a strategic, effective manner (e.g., strategic talent review, performance management, conflict resolution, org design, change management, engagement initiatives, etc.)
- Drive change management initiatives across the business units
- Provide day-to-day support for employees, managers, and senior leaders on HR related questions, policies and practices. Provide interpretation and guidance for the application of HR policies and procedures and ensure equitable application across the organization
- Provide leadership development, coaching, and mentoring to executives and managers
- Coach employees and management through various types of employee relation concerns, including conducting investigations as needed
- Act as a mentor to members of the HR team driving a culture of accountability, collaboration ownership and growth
- Identify opportunities to lean out HR Operations processes, improve efficiency and enable a high performance organization through a continuous improvement lens
- Research and analyze HR trends and best practices and implement them within the business as appropriate
- Complete other tasks and projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or any other related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Minimum 8+ years in progressively advancing HR roles and 4+ years as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role
- Proven success supporting executives and senior leaders, global experience is a plus
- Proven success providing HR support to 250+ employees
- Robust experience navigating challenging employee situations, conducting internal investigations, and partnering with legal counsel as needed
- Comfortable in ambiguity and an evolving work environment
- Proven ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities and maintain composure while managing multiple competing priorities
- Ability to provide sound business recommendations and guidance using critical thinking skills, data driven decision making, and use of analytics
- Strong business acumen, with an ability to think strategically, and problem solve effectively
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all employees at all levels, as well as external vendors and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to draft concise and factually accurate reports and documents; ability to tailor messages based on audience
- Ability to self-direct and prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, drive, resourcefulness
- Genuine commitment to seeking continuous improvement and giving and receiving real-time, continuous
- Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; functional at learning additional technology platforms such as HRIS, ATS, and SharePoint
- Ability to work primarily onsite from the Portland, Oregon or Dallas, TX offices
- Normal office environment/desk assignment
- Extensive use of PC's, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
- Extensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documents

As the Sr. HR Business Partner, you will serve as a key partner to senior leaders and management in ensuring HR practices are transforming organizational strategy and success. Additionally, you will provide consultative services on all HR related matters to M's employee population. In this role you will partner with appropriate centers of excellence (Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition) to support all phases of the employee lifecycle and drive organizational transformation across multiple areas and levels of the organization. This innovative opportunity reports into the Director, Human Resources and can be located in the vicinity of either the Portland, OR or Dallas, TX offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
