    Southworth Products Corp is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) with material handling experience for its Midwest territory, covering Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. The ideal home office location would be in Chicago or Milwaukee.

    We seek a candidate with industry knowledge to join our sales team and deliver top-notch customer service and sales to the material handling sector.

    Southworth is the leading manufacturer of ergonomic material handling equipment for vertical lifting and work positioning. Our products are designed to enhance worker productivity while reducing the risk of injuries.     Position Summary:

    The Southworth RSM role aims to drive sales growth in the territory by:

    • Managing sales activities between end users, dealers, and channels to expand business.
    • Guiding and supporting dealer salespeople on the best approaches for successful machine sales.
    • Selecting, training, and motivating sales channels to sell products.
    • Establishing and nurturing relationships with distributors and customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Assessing and developing effective sales channels and strategies to maximize product penetration in each market within the assigned territory. Actively growing sales in the region.

    · Providing technical support and product assistance to enable distributor personnel to sell products effectively. Expertise areas include the product line, features, safety compliance, applications, and limitations.

    · Sharing customer and application information for accurate quoting and sales. Understanding customer needs to offer tailored solutions. Collaborating with management to identify sales opportunities and qualify projects.

    · Travelling within the territory to build relationships, assess channel salespeople, identify training needs, and explore future sales opportunities for Southworth.

    · Developing and implementing programs at the distributor level to enhance sales performance. Providing training for dealer salespeople to boost work positioning equipment sales.

    · Ensuring prompt responses to customer inquiries, quote requests, and technical/service issues.

    · Creating and monitoring sales plans and quotas for revenue maximization. Maintaining assessment tools to evaluate distributor performance.

    · Maintaining up-to-date account files and records in the CRM database.

    · Implementing sales strategies to enter new markets. Prospecting for new distributors and customers in the territory.

    · Providing short- and long-term forecasts and additional reports as needed.

    · Contributing to sales procedures' development to positively impact territory sales volume.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel within the territory up to 50% of the time.

    What our ideal candidate offers:

    • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of sales experience managing dealer channels or relevant work.
    • Technical or mechanical aptitude.
    • Previous material handling experience.
    • Ability to travel within the territory up to 50% of the time.
