    Water Song is excited to bring you the traditions and flavors from our hometown in Yunnan Province, China. We offer Chinese food with a variety of savory, flavorful dishes, from traditional Yunnan rice noodles called Mixian, to delightful appetizers and sweet desserts.     Duties and responsibilities include:

    • Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager
    • Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
    • Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
    • Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
    • Parboiling food, reducing sauces, and starting first steps in various dishes
    • Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupply
    • Ensures food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
    • Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
    • Seasons and cooks food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
    • Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
    • Observes and tests foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.

    Job Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience: 2 years + of related experience
