    Join our dynamic Team

    We're seeking a Personnel Assistant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As a key support player for our human resources professionals, you'll need a solid grasp of personnel procedures and standards. Your responsibilities will be diverse in range from interviewing applicants to facilitating pre-employment tests and assisting with timekeeping procedures.

    The Personnel Assistant works with the corporate staff and local management to ensure all selected candidates are timely scheduled for interviews and receive all applicable notifications. You'll be the point person for a variety of contacts both within and outside the organization, handling sensitive employee information with tact and discretion. The Personnel Assistant supports both worksite locations in New Mexico and Livermore, California.

    Essential functions and duties

    • Conducting phone screening of qualified potential candidates
    • Coordinating in-person interviews with on-site management team
    • Verifying an identified candidates' citizenship, educational and work history
    • Initiating third party authorizations for pre-employment drug and background screening
    • Tracking, monitoring, and advising management on all newly hired candidate's workflow statuses
    • Ensures that candidates are kept updated on the process, follows up on missing documents, and provides timely responses to any inquiries
    • Assist with time keeping procedures and data entry into the PayDay system
    • General office duties such as faxing, mailing, and filing
    • Maintain personnel folders and other clerical duties as assigned.
    Requirements:
    • Have or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Security Clearance
    • Prior experience in a similar role a must
    • Pre-employment Drug Screening
    • Possess a valid automobile driver's license
    • Be a citizen of the United States of America
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Be at least 21 years of age or be an honorably discharged veteran.
