Description
We are looking for a Team Security Agent to join our Basketball Operations team.

In this role, you will ensure the highest level of service is provided by leading all aspects of and performing security operations for the LA Clippers basketball team.

Reporting to the Director of Team Security, this position will be expected to further develop team security policy and standard operating procedures, as well as implement strategies that continue toward an organizational vision of LAC Team Security operations and personnel being the very best in the NBA.


What You Will Do:


  • Plan, develop, and implement programs to ensure the safety and security of all LAC players, coaches, and basketball operations staff
  • Assist in the management of safety and security services and activities involved in the protection of our personnel, building security, emergency preparedness, and risk management
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal emergency services personnel as it relates to standard practices and emergency evacuation procedures
  • Provide effective direction to staff in emergency response situations and work with the Facility Manager to handle and update Emergency Operations Plans
  • Assess, develop, and lead all aspects of the execution of security strategies and plans as required to secure building perimeters and access points
  • Execute NBA Security Procedures & Guidelines
  • Work closely with NBA League Security and other NBA Team Security personnel to ensure seamless security measures during game play
  • Lead and participate in the development and administration of the Team Security Department, including the budget, staffing, training, equipment, and policies & procedures
  • Assist in the development of operational training standards including the implementation of the latest technology
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the LAC employee identification and access control systems
  • Lead aspects of training for the security team
  • Oncall, 24/7, as directed by the Director of Security or as needed based on LAC team/player events
  • Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Director of Security

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited fouryear college or university
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a sworn law enforcement professional at either the local, state, or federal level and who resigned/retired in good standing
  • Meets the HR218 (Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act) eligibility requirements through their respective department/agency and upon employment can satisfy the California licensing requirements to work as an armed security professional
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with direct responsibility supervising and directing a staff
  • Experience in executive protection, threat assessment/risk analysis, operational security services and activities, and safety programs
  • Experience in crisis management, investigation skills, security technology, life safety, scheduling, and logistics
  • Ability to demonstrate success performing and/or managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to interact effectively in a professional and tactful manner with internal and external partners at all levels within the LAC organization and elsewhere
  • Highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high pressure environment while meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
  • Highly responsive to emergencies in a fastpaced, time sensitive environment
  • Ability to lead, give clear and concise direction, and provide constructive feedback
  • Ability to provide effective direction to staff as part of emergency response
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a multiethnic and multicultural environment
  • Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule
  • Must have a valid passport and state driver license
