Special Education Teacher - Town & Country, MO

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Town & Country, MO. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for students with diverse needs. This position requires a deep understanding of special education practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to empowering students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and abilities.
Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities, utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations as necessary.
Collaborate with other members of the education team, including paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators, to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to student support.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly, using data to inform decision-making.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, social-emotional development, and self-advocacy skills.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss concerns, and solicit input on educational goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Valid Special Education teaching certification/license in the state
Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for supporting the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
