- In coordination with production management, direct and supervise the mechanical workforce ensuring packaging operations attain maximum up-time with the highest level of quality.
- Participate in the design, layout, installation, modification and upgrading of packaging equipment.
- Supervise daily packaging maintenance, serving as technical resource to the team.
- Develop and supervise the implementation of effective maintenance procedures including preventative maintenance programs.
- Train, coach, and develop the technical base of mechanical staff.
- Support and lead the company's Safety, Health and Environmental programs. Must be a Safety Champion. Must role-model in training and sustaining change management processes.
- Manage, assist, or affect the procurement of new equipment or spare parts.
- Maintain an effective labor/employee relations environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain all necessary record systems. Role model expertise, training, and sustainment of the site CMMS systems.
- Manage, implement, and support all policies including, but not limited to, the Corporation's Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
- Role model verbal, written communication, and partnerships with entire plant, external suppliers and external customers (Packaging Development, Product Development, Marketing, Research and Innovation). Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with technical training, certifications, or equivalent experience.
- years' experience in a technical capacity involving packaging equipment and a solid technical experience in core mechanical, electrical, and automation controls.
